Remembering,to Hold on Tite!

               So here I sit again writng in this thing we call a Blog.LOL A little humor to startt the day. Im stutterin on the board.2day. STUPID BOARD!! Im just not sure its the boards fault or mine but iittts stttill thr see ? so I ask myself who's to blame. prob me mostly, the keys dooo need cleaned real bad.    Im sure that dont help.  Anyhow i digress . I was watchin the news and saw a story on the Titanic, It got me to thinkin about remembering and things that we learnd when I went to school in the 60's and seventy's. In elementary we learned good math sskills,learned about the Wild West aand how Columbus discoverd "America".And how the Pilgrams Sseettled here. Simple n good ideas tht empty minds could grasp easily. As we progressed into middle scooool (lol) we learned more about the Larger world in whole. We learned of the horrors of WWI n WWII. Things they didn want us dreaming about when our minds were  young. That our own country fought and died against each other. Of industry and science.Because of Mr. Arthur I have a much greater respect of and knowlegde of nature. We worked with our hands in shop, and in art classes we were incouraged to expresse ourselves. Once we got into to high school the subjects were more expanded but still a good basic education. You were taught the ideas and principles of our Constitution in history and learned what Sacrifices men made sso we may live in a Free country. We learned about secrets deep in the sea that fascinated me . Spanish and french and english. I HATED ENGLISH. can u tel. (lol) Althoughi have been told a time or 2 that im a hell of a speech writer. But I remember too that almost the entire time during my childhood and schooling, we were in a war. Watching the CBS Eve. news w/ Walter Cronkite,on a 4 legged blonde b/w TV.I remember my MOM crying when JFK was killed. I remember the riots over the "war".The riots over "civil rightts". I remember the rockets going into space. Robert Kennedy. They took us into the gymn and we watched as man landed on the moon. I remember when "Martin Luther King " was shot and killed.I remember when Nixon stood and said Im not a crook and not long after resigns in disgrace.Watergate I belive it was called. He just got caught u kno. Been done bfore him and more than likely since. He was actuualy a pretty good pres other than tht. Ended the war in Vietnam. Reagan sayin "Mr Gorbacov, Tear down this Wall". Not long After we watched as the "Wall" came down and the Soviet union changed from what we grew to kno. Oh I forgot the Middle East War. U kno that one w/Isreal and Egypt,Jordan,n Syria back in June of 67. Now i dont kno about you but I come from a good BIBLE thumpin Family and believe me,even by the age of only 8 yrs old I knew what the hell ""Armagedden" was. And boy didn those preachers lay it on. Scared the hell right out of me, them sayin this was it.Now "Armagedden" is a game the kids play on the computer.Most have no clue about the real thing. The last few yrs I remember the first war in Kuwait. The road of Horror. Stoppping short of taking the ultimate goal.Then I remember  a day in Sept. I was at work when my wife called me and said I should come home and see the news. By the time i got there they just knew  it was a plane . I watched in shock as the second plane hit the other tower.  two other planes one hitting the 'Pentagon" and the otherr Diving into the ground,after passengers tryed to stop the terrorist from carrying out their plans. Over 3,000 people died tht day in the worst attack on American soil since WWII. Even more have died since in battle,from illness caused by the towers destruction. Sadmn Insane was caught and Hung. Osama Bin Laden was Killed by a navy Seal team in Pakistan. other things I remember are the Pain n Joy of friendships. The heartbreak at the loss of a dear friend or family member.The joys of creating life.Of spending time with those you love. I have been to the top of one of the highest mts. in North America. Mt Evans, also Pikes Peak.Looking out over those Plains you could just envision what it was like when America the Beutiful was written As you head towards the Mts from a distance in the morn they do look purple in the sun. One of the most awsome sights u could ever see. From the top of Pikes Peak u could see Amber Waves of Grain billowing in the wind. Katharine Lee Bates in 1893 must have felt much the same way when she wrote it.Those things I learned in school a long long time ago but I still remember that. And the respect That we all should have for learning what makes us great. So when life gets crazy and the mts look purple and the grain is blowing just to Remember,To Hold on Tite, to all those memorys tht make us who we are              I'm Just Sayin

            So it's been a while since i posted. Much has happened in our little world of our's. A few things bother me, well more than a few but I don't need to go far to get your attention. What's goin on in D.C. bothers me. When I went to school I learned that we have 3 Branches of Gov. Legislative,Judicial,and Executive. With no one branch more powerful than the other. Thus developed a system of checks and balances in our Gov. that has worked well for over 200 years. Now we have one Branch Telling ("Strongley Suggesting")  to another that they should not overturn a law Passed by another Branch. The President said earlier this week that it would be and I quote,"unprecedented".This coming from a Harvard Constitutional law teacher. It really is amazing to watch all this take place. There seems to be something fundamentally wrong witht the thinking in the Whithouse. Example: Muslim Brotherhood,sworn enemys of this country,helped prob plan and kill Americans all around the world. Now this PRES. want to wine,dine,n talk to them in D.C. of all places. These same people tht my SON"S,yours,family and friends have fought against and gave their live's fighting to protect us from are COMING TO AMERICA. Now I'm not a rocket scientest(They r in IRAN) but why let the 'FOX" in the henhouse or should we say Whitehouse.Really!!! If you wanna talk peace thts cool. But not in our own House. a nuetral site is good for me just like all the other times in History. Now to me this is 'UNPRECEDENTED" .Inviting TERRORIST'S into our own home. Reagan would be and prob is rollin in his grave. What does this administration want to accomplish with this. I'm not sure but my gut tells me it aint good. This not the first time this Pres. has reached out to terrorist orginization's. And speaking of Iran, that situation there should scare the hell out of us all. This administration appears to b letting Iran get the "BOMB" first then try to do something afterwards. A little late I would say. If you think you have high gas and energy prices now let them get 'theBOMB"  and you wont be able to afford to do much at all. Would'n surprise me to see Double the price we see now. Of course 'CHU' said tht in 2008 we should have european style gas prices. So here goes the theory.Iran bomb,no oil,higher prices,Whithouse happy. who's holdin who's hand here people. OH,I forget, they get their higher prices. all seems a little fishy to me. What's goin on folks aint good, and if we continue down this road we might as well oppen the doors and let the bastards in. It seems to be where this administration wants to take us anyhow.1 wolrd,1 gov,1 money. That writing is on the wall unless we erase it.

Drill Baby Drill

          So gas prices have risen to almost  $4.00 a gallon and seemingly no end in sight.Our President says tht "green energy" is the way to go. Really?!! Prime examples of Gov. sponsered GE,Solyndra.Chevy Volt,etc.... The prob i have with all this green energy is we will still pay for it. Wind farms r now being paid to not make electricity. the costs of which gets passed along to consumer. Nothing is free or cheap.
          Lets say I own stock in an energy company. I own it to make money right. thts why i bought it. now my company is producing less energy buut i still want to make money on tht stock. Damn I gotta raise prices or I wont make any money.If there is less to produce you still have to make money on the product tht you do make. hence higher prices. I belive they call tht ECONOMICS 101.DUH!!!
           Although drilling and producing more "fossil fuels" wont immediatly solve the prob. over time it would help to balance tht supply and demand cycle.Right now as long as our Gov. refuses to allow more and SERIOUS exploration there seems to be no relief in sight. A new pres. will not totally solve this.Throwing good money after bad wont help either.
          Now I'm not the smartest man in the world by far,but I do have common sense, and tht says we cant keep going this way and expect our economy to get better. Energy aint the only problem our country has but it is a serious one.

     well 4 those of u that would like to read some things. im tryin tot get this  blog whe work 4 me.re it wll. Spellin is funny keyboard is screwed up. that will happen w/kids around.lol well learnin how this works, my soapbox will be her soon

         wow I finally startedd a real Blog.Im calling this blog "im just sayin". I wi post a feew times a week and try tot get the link to all. I have opinions like all of us but i will try to be fair and anylitical about the things I say on here.

Now i have heard it all. The jackets made for the"PRES." and staff r made by 100 workers in Olive Hill Kentucky. They r taking these jobs and GIVING them to prisoners in PRISON who get 23 cents an hour. Now i dont kno bout u but this just seems stupid.y would you CLOSE a factory down just so prisoners could stay busy.Thts right they dont have anything to do so the feds decide to give them that job.... What about those 100 plus people that will be out of work. MORE unemployment,More gov madated ins. 4 them food stamps etc. SO WHERE is the savings and common sense here folks. If anythingby the time we give them all those things those same "JACKETS" will prob act run Double or Triple what they cost now. there just doesnt seem to be any rhyme or reason here. well anyhow "JUST SAYIN"
